Helping Hand Home was recently featured by KXAN, highlighting the life-changing services we have provided to children and families for 133 years.

During the segment, staff member Mitchell Kagel, a Therapeutic Childcare Specialist (TCCS) and member of our C.A.R.E. Team, shared firsthand how our trauma-informed services make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of the children we serve.

Our C.A.R.E. Team is composed of some of Helping Hand Home’s most experienced and knowledgeable TCCS staff in our Residential Treatment Services. This small, highly skilled team plays a critical role by mentoring new staff, providing in-the-moment coaching, and modeling best practices in trauma-informed care. The team also partners closely with Program Managers and Residential leadership, offering training, guidance, feedback, and daily check-ins to ensure support is available exactly where it’s needed most.Mitchell and the Residential team are an invaluable part of our mission, creating stability, healing, and hope for the children in our care.
