Dell Match Play Raises $1.1 Million for Austin Charities like Helping Hand Home
See how Dell Technologies supports children in the community:
Thursday, September 27th was a very special day! The 2018 World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play presented checks to five charities from the tournament this past March. This year’s golf tournament generated more than $1.1 million for five Austin-based organizations—Austin Parks Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area, The First Tee of Greater Austin and national chapters, Helping Hand Home for Children, and Keep Austin Beautiful. Thanks to the support of the Dell Technologies Match Play over the years, Helping Hand Home has provided more transformative experiences to the children we serve such as adding 400 additional enrichment activities for children in residential treatment, including field trips and special outings, and adding a physical education coach during Summer Camp. Additionally, facilitated adoptions have increased 46 percent over the past year, thanks in part to tournament funding which has supported additional services for foster and adoptive families.
We are beyond grateful to Dell Technologies Match Play for their gift of $113,500 to help us further our mission and change more vulnerable children’s lives. Helping Hand Home for Children is honored to be one of five beneficiaries for the 2019 World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play.
