Helping Hand Home for Children, Inc. is honored to announce the hiring of Tania Leskovar-Owens as the new Chief Executive Officer. Tania is a seasoned non-profit leader with over 16 years of experience and a passion to serve others with strengths in child welfare, advertising, fundraising, communications, events, and volunteer management.

Tania’s background as an executive director, combined with her deep passion for children in foster care, will help to further advance the mission of Helping Hand Home, now in its 131st year in the Austin community. “We are thrilled to welcome Tania as our new CEO,” said HHH President, Beth Plater. “It was immediately evident to the search committee that Tania’s ability to perform at the highest level along with her passion to serve others would align perfectly with the values and mission of Helping Hand Home.”

Tania comes to Helping Hand Home after serving nine years as Executive Director at Foster Angels of Central Texas. During her tenure, she expanded staff and programing, impacting the lives of thousands of children in foster care. Prior to Foster Angels, Tania worked in development and fundraising at Susan G. Komen Austin and The University of Texas where she made significant impacts in development by securing many life changing gifts.

“I am honored to lead Helping Hand Home into this next chapter as we continue the organization’s 131-year legacy of serving the most vulnerable children in Texas,” said Tania Leskovar-Owens. “I look forward to working alongside HHH’s dedicated staff, volunteers and broad network of partners to provide hope and healing to hundreds of children and families in need. Together, we will honor our legacy by evolving and innovating to deliver the best in services to children in our state.”

Tania holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin and will assume her role as Helping Hand Home’s Chief Executive Officer on May 1st.
